Ongoing Conversation: Drawn Together

A collaborative arts project curated by Soude Dadras

On view: June 9th through July 3rd

Reception: June 9th, 6-8pm

For many of us, our lives have been turned upside-down by the current public health emergency, but the fundamental human need to create remains intense – even if it is on pause for some of us momentarily. I urge you to join in bringing attention to the power of the human spirit through creativity across the globe with our current project Drawn Together. Drawn Together is a collaboration of hope, of honor, and of storytelling for these extraordinary times.
The goal of this project is to record for the world how the creative community persevered together through the tumult of change, even though we remained largely apart.

About the Curator:

Born in Iran, Soude Dadras is an artist, curator, and educator living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an MFA candidate at Georgia State University (expected May 2021). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Persian Rugs with a concentration in the restoration of antique and historic hand-woven textiles. With eleven years of curatorial experience, Dadras is the founder, curator, and managing director of "Ongoing Conversation,” a platform whose mission is “to bring together disparate voices in the visual arts through an international purview in order to examine cross-cultural similarities of the human condition.” Dadras represents more than 1,000 artists from 23 countries and counting; this representation and inclusivity is essential to the artist's personal creative process and professional curatorial projects. Her works have been featured in publications across the globe, including newspapers and magazines from the U.S.A, Japan, Turkey, and Iran.
